Teaching Experience

By stage of the Master’s teaching, the Graduate Program in Design is contributing directly to the increased quality of teaching in the course of Bachelor of Design in UFPR, so that they achieved the goals established by Decree 6096 of 24.04.2007 , which include the gradual rise of the average completion rate of undergraduate attendance to 90%, the gradual rise in undergraduate classroom courses, the relationship pupil / teacher = 18, the period of 5 years to meet the targets, the from the beginning of each plan, and the minimum 20% increase in undergraduate enrollment. We also emphasize that there was a significant increase in the number of vacancies for students entering the Bachelor of Design course caused by various reasons, such as through the PROVE Program (UFPR for internal reuse of remaining places at the university), Academic Mobility, exchanges, among others, has been causing all the increase of the student / teacher. 

Participation in the Master’s Program Graduation is an opportunity to maintain the quality of courses Design UFPR, improving services to graduate students, individually or in groups, who have learning difficulties; support the development of academic activities of teaching and Supervision of completion for Graduation. In 2010 the program had 22 of its 30 courses and students working in Graphic Design and Product-stage teaching, as follows: Gather 09 fellows, 07 fellows PROF, 01 Araucaria Foundation Fellow, Fellow of the Amazon Foundation 01, and 04 master’s students do not grantees. Moreover, the performance of students in the disciplines contributing to the studies in the dissertation work in progress, as in the master’s student Mariana Iwakami White Castle, which resulted in a paper prepared jointly with graduate students and approved by the national congress of the area.
The trends of the program, actions and results in 2010 indicate: (a) the consolidation of national and international partnerships, (b) the continuity of production and scientific research, and (c) the consolidation of the skills of staff within graduate strict sense, is thus expands the capacity of contributions to knowledge in the international arena.
