Sustainability Research Center at UFPR is to develop and disseminate knowledge on sustainable design.\u00a0The objective is to make the NDS a center of international reference on the subject until 2010.\u00a0Our main activities include research projects (always carried out in partnership with representatives of society in order to obtain results with practical and scientific validity), extension activities, generation of didactic and pedagogical tools to support teaching in graduate and post-\u00a0Degree in Design.<\/p>\n<p>The research group is focused on conducting research in design for sustainability and innovation in products and services, with the infrastructure: 01 own room with furniture for use of equipment and discussion of research; 08 lap-tops computers PC.05\u00a0, 01 tablet, 01 HP A3 printer leisure Samsung 01; data show, CATIA software, Rhynocheros 3D Studio.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.design.ufpr.br\/mestrado\/imagens\/nucleo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0LAI-DI, Laboratory for Interactive Animation and Design of Information:<\/p>\n<p>The LAI (Laboratory for Interactive Animation) was built from the project CNPq 552173\/2002-9 Institutional Process, called LudicLearning.\u00a0This project, developed and supported by faculty from the Department of Design and the Graduate Program in Construction, has as main mission the development of tools to support teaching of computer graphics-based entertainment environments, which incorporate design concepts\u00a0and implementation of computer games.<\/p>\n<p>The research group is devoted to research on animation, and digital and analog artifacts from the standpoint of information design and interaction, with the infrastructure: 01 own room with furniture for use of equipment and discussion of research, 01 computer\u00a0PC touch screen, tablet galaxy 01, and 2 iPods.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.design.ufpr.br\/mestrado\/imagens\/laiimg.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"232\" \/><\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/www.design.ufpr.br\/lai\/<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0Laberge-Laboratory Ergonomics:<\/p>\n<p>The group UFPR Ergonomics is a multidisciplinary research group that has sought to develop research on the human system interfaces \/ technology focused on the industrial sector.\u00a0Its main objective is the application of techniques and methods of ergonomic evaluation through software simulation-oriented products and industrial processes.\u00a0The research group has focused efforts in the following areas: human simulation, Usability of products, analysis of work activity and Product Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>this is integrated with and PPGDesign PGMec UFPR, earmarking funds for both programs, and thus meeting the teachers, masters and doctoral students in the areas of design and mechanical engineering.\u00a0Its infrastructure: 01 own room with furniture for use of equipment and discussion of research; 04 PC computers, 02 printers \/ scan machines forogr\u00e1ficas 04, 01 lux meter, load cell 01 \/ dynamometer.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.design.ufpr.br\/mestrado\/imagens\/labergo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"265\" \/><\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/demec.ufpr.br\/laboratorios\/ergonomia\/index.htm<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0Laboratory of Image and 3D: This is dedicated to prototyping and modeling supporting both research and teaching in design, and providing: (a) room for rapid prototyping and 3D scanner (8th floor), (b) the computer room to supporteducational and scientific modeling to virtual (8th floor), (c) a room for modeling (12th floor), (e) a joinery (12th floor).\u00a0It is worth mentioning that with the efforts supported by the Department of Design Dean UFPR to joiners suffered structural reform in 2010 expanding its physical infrastructure.\u00a0In infrastructure facilities are available: 01 rapid prototyping machine EGX 300 (Roland), 01 3D Scanner (Arm Cimcore STINGER II) with a license acquired software CATIA and Rhynocheros, 01 computer support prototyping process.\u00a0These facilities are available for scanning and manipulating three-dimensional objects, thus expanding the expertise available for research activities that require modeling and prototyping.\u00a0In 2010 it was made an important acquisition for the Rapid Prototyping Laboratory: Scanner ZCorp.\u00a0Trmata is u portable 3D laser scanner, designed to provide high-resolution 3D images at an economical price.\u00a0The Scanner ZCorp has a sampling rate of 18,000 measurements per second and is equipped with two cameras.\u00a0Has a resolution of 0.1 mm and XY accuracy up to 80 microns.\u00a0Exports 3D scanner for LAD.\u00a0FBX, MA, OBJ, PLY, STL, TXT, WRL, X3D, X3DZ, files.\u00a0ZPR.\u00a0It uses FireWire for data transfer and as a source of energia.ZScan (R) Lite, included with the scanner, automatically generates a file.\u00a0STL for import into a CAD software package or output to a 3D printer 3D.\u00a0In 2010 obtained the approval of design features subject to public notice FINEP 07\/2009.\u00a0In these features there is the approval of the acquisition of three more lap-tops and, very importantly, a 3D printer VFlash.\u00a0In the same year obtained the approval of the approved project CNPq (556197\/2009-7) for a portable scanner for fast applications.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0Ceramic Laboratory: With funding from Project FINEP Sebrae \/ Notice 2006, in partnership with the Federal Technological University of Paran\u00e1 and Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa were acquired the following equipment for the improvement of the Laboratory of the Department of Ceramic Design UFPR: 2 lathes\u00a0standing for clay, a ceramic mixer, personal protective equipment, laboratory glassware, supplies to work with plaster, office consumables, plaster molds for execution.<\/p>\n<p>It should also stress that are available to masters and teachers of PPGDesign the laboratory analysis of materials (LAMIR), and laboratory materials DEMCO located in the Technology UFPR.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.design.ufpr.br\/mestrado\/imagens\/labceramicas.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"232\" \/><!--:--><!--:pt-->O PPGDesign possui em sua infra-estrutura para pesquisa 03 laborat\u00f3rios e 01 n\u00facleo: LAI-DI &#8220;Laborat\u00f3rio de Anima\u00e7\u00e3o Interativa e Design da Informa\u00e7\u00e3o&#8221;, &#8220;LabErg- Laborat\u00f3rio de Ergonomia&#8221;, o &#8220;Laborat\u00f3rio de Imagem e 3D&#8221;, e o &#8220;NDS- N\u00facleo de Design e Sustentabilidade&#8221;, conforme descri\u00e7\u00e3o abaixo.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 NDS- N\u00facleo de Design e Sustentabilidade: voltado \u00e0 realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de pesquisas em design para a inova\u00e7\u00e3o e sustentabilidade em produtos e servi\u00e7os, tendo como infra-estrutura: 01 sala pr\u00f3pria com mobili\u00e1rio para uso de equipamento e discuss\u00e3o das pesquisas; 08 computadores PC; 05 lap-tops; 01 tablet; 01 impressora HP A3; 01 impressora lazer Samsung; 01 datashow, softwares CATIA, Rhynocheros, 3D Studio, NVivo, al\u00e9m de investimentos em capacita\u00e7\u00e3o da equipe de pesquisadores;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 LAI-DI, Laborat\u00f3rio de Anima\u00e7\u00e3o Interativa e Design da Informa\u00e7\u00e3o: voltado \u00e0 realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de pesquisas sobre anima\u00e7\u00e3o, e artefatos digitais e anal\u00f3gicos sob o enfoque do design da informa\u00e7\u00e3o e intera\u00e7\u00e3o, tendo como infra-estrutura: 01 sala pr\u00f3pria com mobili\u00e1rio para uso de equipamento e discuss\u00e3o das pesquisas; 01 computador PC touch screen, 01 tablet galaxy, e 2 Ipods;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 LabErg- Laborat\u00f3rio de Ergonomia: este \u00e9 integrado ao PPGDesign e ao PGMec da UFPR, aportando recursos de ambos os Programas, e atendendo assim aos docentes, mestrandos e doutorandos nas \u00e1reas de design e engenharia mec\u00e2nica. Tem como infra-estrutura: 01 sala pr\u00f3pria com mobili\u00e1rio para uso de equipamento e discuss\u00e3o das pesquisas; 04 computadores PC, 02 impressoras\/scan, 04 m\u00e1quinas forogr\u00e1ficas, 01 Lux\u00edmetro, 01 c\u00e9lula de carga\/dinam\u00f4metro;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Laborat\u00f3rio de Imagem e 3D: este dedica-se \u00e0 prototipagem e modelagem apoiando tanto a pesquisa como o ensino em design, e disponibilizando: (a) sala para prototipagem r\u00e1pida e scanner 3D (8\u00ba andar); (b) sala de inform\u00e1tica para apoio did\u00e1tico-cient\u00edfico \u00e0 modelagem virtual (8\u00ba andar); (c) uma sala para modelagem (12\u00ba andar); (e) uma marcenaria (12\u00ba andar). A marcenaria, reformada em 2010, passou a receber do PPGDesign em 2011 contribui\u00e7\u00f5es diretas para sua manuten\u00e7\u00e3o e opera\u00e7\u00e3o. Na infra-estrutura de equipamentos do Laborat\u00f3rio de Imagem e 3D encontram-se dispon\u00edveis tamb\u00e9m: 01 m\u00e1quina de prototipagem r\u00e1pida EGX 300 (Roland); 01 Scanner 3D (Bra\u00e7o Cimcore STINGER II) com licen\u00e7a adquirida do software CATIA e Rhynocheros; 01 computador de apoio ao processo de prototipagem. Esses equipamentos possibilitam a digitaliza\u00e7\u00e3o e manipula\u00e7\u00e3o de objetos tridimensionais ampliando assim as compet\u00eancias t\u00e9cnicas dispon\u00edveis para as pesquisas que requerem atividades de modelagem e prototipagem. O Scanner 3D adquirido em 2010 (Scanner ZCorp) encontra-se a disposi\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o s\u00f3 do Laborat\u00f3rio de Imagem e 3D mas, tamb\u00e9m, do Laborat\u00f3rio de Ergonomia. Em 2011 foi adquirido um scanner 3D port\u00e1til laser, para aplica\u00e7\u00f5es r\u00e1pidas (David Scanner 3D). Este scanner n\u00e3o precisa de pain\u00e9is de calibra\u00e7\u00e3o, sendo sua utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o r\u00e1pida e sem a necessidade de ambiente escuro. este scanner \u00e9 adequado para produtos de m\u00e9dio para grande porte. O Scanner ZCorp tem uma velocidade de amostragem de 18.000 medi\u00e7\u00f5es por segundo e est\u00e1 equipado com duas c\u00e2meras. Possui resolu\u00e7\u00e3o de at\u00e9 0,1 mm e precis\u00e3o XY at\u00e9 80 microns. As exporta\u00e7\u00f5es scanner 3D para DAE. FBX,MA, OBJ, PLY, STL, TXT, WRL, X3D, X3DZ, arquivos. ZPR. Ele usa FireWire para transfer\u00eancia de dados e como fonte de energia.ZScan (R) Lite, inclu\u00eddo com o scanner, gera automaticamente um arquivo. STL para importa\u00e7\u00e3o em um pacote de software de CAD 3D ou sa\u00edda para uma impressora 3D. Em 2012 foi implantado uma impressora 3D VFlash. Esta impressora, desenvolvida pela empresa 3D systems, \u00e9 uma impressora desktop 3D. A V-Flash transforma projetos do CAD diretamente em pe\u00e7as pl\u00e1sticas dur\u00e1veis. A V-Flash permite ao laborat\u00f3rio materializar rapidamente novos conceitos, sem haver despesas com ferramentaria;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Laborat\u00f3rio de Cer\u00e2micos: com recursos do Projeto Finep Sebrae\/ Edital 2006, em parceria com a Universidade Tecnol\u00f3gica Federal do Paran\u00e1 e a Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa foram adquiridos os seguintes equipamentos para a melhoria do Laborat\u00f3rio de Cer\u00e2micos do Departamento de Design da UFPR:\u00a0 2 tornos de p\u00e9 para argila, 1 misturador de massa cer\u00e2mica, equipamentos de prote\u00e7\u00e3o individual, vidros para laborat\u00f3rio, material de consumo para trabalhos com gesso, material de consumo de escrit\u00f3rio, gesso para execu\u00e7\u00e3o de moldes;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Laborat\u00f3rio do Ambiente Constru\u00eddo: com a integra\u00e7\u00e3o do Prof. Dr. Aloisio Schmid no corpo docente em 2012 o PPGDesign passou a integrar na sua infraestrutura o \u201cLaborat\u00f3rio do Ambiente Constru\u00eddo\u201d, coordenado pelo referido professor. O LAC estuda os aspectos f\u00edsicos \u2013 t\u00e9rmico, lum\u00ednico, ac\u00fastico e relativo \u00e0 qualidade do ar nas obras de\u00a0 arquitetura (edifica\u00e7\u00f5es e interven\u00e7\u00f5es na escala urbana), e ainda sua sustentabilidade, com \u00eanfase nos fluxos de energia. A estrat\u00e9gia de pesquisa predominante \u00e9 a experimental, contendo artefatos como heliodon e c\u00e9u artificial e diversos medidores individuais; isto ainda inclui o aspecto da experimenta\u00e7\u00e3o num\u00e9rica computacional com desenvolvimento de ferramentas pr\u00f3prias de softwares. Ainda t\u00eam sido utilizadas estrat\u00e9gias n\u00e3o experimentais, incluindo m\u00e9todos de survey e da pesquisa-a\u00e7\u00e3o, buscando caracterizar representa\u00e7\u00e3o social de diferentes aspectos da tecnologia na arquitetura. O laborat\u00f3rio conta com apoio Financeiro da CAPES\/Minc, Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Arauc\u00e1ria e ANEEL. Nas intera\u00e7\u00e3o com o PPGDesign as pesquisas dever\u00e3o ser orientadas tanto \u00e0s implica\u00e7\u00f5es do Conforto Ambiental no Design de interiores como no pr\u00f3prio design de produtos voltados ao ambiente constru\u00eddo. Para alinhar tal prop\u00f3sito com a estrutura curricular do PPGDesign foi implementada em 2012 a disciplina HD731- Conforto Ambiental no Design de Interiores.<\/p>\n<p>A infra-estrutura f\u00edsica do programa vem sendo continuamente aprimorada atrav\u00e9s de recursos de editais de pesquisa e a\u00e7\u00f5es afirmativas das ag\u00eancias CNPq, FINEP, Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Arauc\u00e1ria e de parcerias com governos municipais e estaduais; e com empresas privadas em projetos de pesquisa &amp; desenvolvimento e inova\u00e7\u00e3o. Em 2012, com a sele\u00e7\u00e3o do projeto para a constru\u00e7\u00e3o do novo pr\u00e9dio para o Setor de Artes, Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o e Design (vide www.concursosarquitetura.ufpr.br\/campuscabral\/) a estrat\u00e9gia de melhoria passou a ser dedicada \u00e0 aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de bens pass\u00edveis de transporte para o novo espa\u00e7o. O projeto do novo pr\u00e9dio prev\u00ea n\u00e3o s\u00f3 a manuten\u00e7\u00e3o dos Laborat\u00f3rios existentes mas a amplia\u00e7\u00e3o da qualidade e capacidade de pesquisa.<\/p>\n<p>Face \u00e0 inser\u00e7\u00e3o do PPGDesign na infraestrutura do Departamento de Design, o programa tem amplo acesso n\u00e3o s\u00f3 \u00e0 infraestrutura espec\u00edfica do programa mas, no per\u00edodo da tarde, \u00e0 infraestrutura utilizada pelos graduandos. Desta forma, tem-se a disposi\u00e7\u00e3o seis salas de aula (com acesso \u00e0 internet e datashow), o Laborat\u00f3rio de Fotografia, Laborat\u00f3rio de Inform\u00e1tica, Laborat\u00f3rio de Ilustra\u00e7\u00e3o e Laborat\u00f3rio de Cer\u00e2mica, al\u00e9m dos gabinetes utilizados pelos professores. Estes espa\u00e7os compartilhados com a gradua\u00e7\u00e3o tem recebido regularmente esfor\u00e7os conjuntos de melhoria, envolvendo tanto o Departamento de Design como o Programa de P\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Design, particularmente com recursos oriundos de FDAs- Fundos de Desenvolvimento Acad\u00eamico, entre outros fundos. Como resultado, em 2011 foi adquirido 5 computadores, 1 televis\u00e3o LCD + \u00e1udio (para reuni\u00f5es via skype), 2 datashows, 4 filmadoras. As filmadoras foram lotadas no Laborat\u00f3rio de Fotografia, espa\u00e7o compartilhado pela p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o e gradua\u00e7\u00e3o e que dever\u00e1 receber aporte de recursos conjuntos das duas inst\u00e2ncias, conforme acordo entre a coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do PPGDesign e chefia do Departamento de Design.<\/p>\n<p>Em 2012, com recursos remanescentes do Programa REUNI o PPGDesign adquiriu 3 c\u00e2meras fotogr\u00e1ficas, 2 microfones de lapela, 6 minigravadores digitais, 3 suportes universais de datashows, 6 notebooks, 2 arquivos de a\u00e7o com 4 gavetas. Os notebooks foram disponibilizados aos p\u00f3s-graduandos e professores do programa, sendo que 2 foram instalado na Sala dos P\u00f3s-Graduandos, espa\u00e7o do programa que disp\u00f5e de 8 espa\u00e7os de estudo, al\u00e9m de arm\u00e1rios e equipamentos de apoio (impressora, micro-ondas, cafeteira, etc).<\/p>\n<p>Importante enfatizar que o espa\u00e7o no 12\u00ba andar do edif\u00edcio Dom Pedro I, reformado em 2010, viabilizou a introdu\u00e7\u00e3o de novos equipamentos de apoio ao ensino e pesquisa a partir de 2011 como, por exemplo, equipamento de Vacuum Forming que possibilita a execu\u00e7\u00e3o de moldes, mock-ups e prot\u00f3tipos volum\u00e9tricos (Laborat\u00f3rio de Imagem e 3D). Dentre as melhorias realizada naquele espa\u00e7o em 2012 atrav\u00e9s do PPGDesign tamb\u00e9m destaca-se a implanta\u00e7\u00e3o de cabine de pintura, voltada ao apoio na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de mock-ups e prot\u00f3tipos. Outra melhoria importante foi a implanta\u00e7\u00e3o de impressora 3D adquirida com recursos da FINEP, atrav\u00e9s da coordena\u00e7\u00e3o financeira da FEESC.<\/p>\n<p>Com os recursos providos pelo REUNI a coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Curso de Design efetuou a aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de equipamentos que ser\u00e3o utilizados em conjunto coma P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o, seja diretamente pelos professores do programa, seja nos laborat\u00f3rios do Departamento de Design.
